Yeee-Haaaa! Smaug-berbatch... See what I did there?
Haha . . . oh, I see it
I apologize for that outburst...
Do I possibly see hope that:1. The rumored dwarf-elf relationship won't happen?2. That Thorin will become less honorable and more Book-Thorinish?Or is it just me?
1. Oh, I certainly hope so . . . my fingers are crossed2. Please, please, please be true!I'm thinking its not just you
Smaug's voice... *shudder* I shouldn't like to be caught in a room with him!I was very heartened also by the scenes where Thorin seems to be his pompous book-y self again. Less easy to romanticize. I'm still not putting much stock in this dumb rumored elf/dwarf crush thingy. My guess is it's something to do with Legolas' protective nature over her and some sort of contact she has with the dwarves during their stay that people somehow misinterpreted in the beginning.
I think you're right. I'm also wondering if Tauriel will end up dying at the Battle of the Five Armies, which will kind of tear Legolas up and lead to (at least partially) his dislike of dwarves that we see at the start of Fellowship of the Ring
I'm hoping that Thorin is becoming more rude and greedy, but not to burst the hope bubble, it might just be after Bilbo steals the Arkenstone, if that part is even in this movie...
Rudeness and greed... symptoms of dragon sickness?
Driryad>>I had wondered if this is the moment Bilbo sneaks the Arkenstone past past Thorin . . . looks like a tense sceneAnonymous>> I think you're right
